Dear Applicants and Participants,
We have had to make a very difficult decision about this year’s project due to economic issues.
In order to ensure that we can provide for our current winners and that we can continue the project long term, we are postponing this year’s project until next year – 2009-2010 or later.
We are announcing this news via this communication, today December 12th 2008. This announcement is prior to the December 17th deadline, before any winners are selected or before any new commitments are made by Fullrideproject that we might potentially not be able to fulfill.
Southwest Honda and the sponsors you see on our website will all remain supportive of our current winners and promises. We simply cannot currently increase our commitments without the appropriate funding.
To be clear, we are not canceling the project. We are temporarily postponing it order to regain some lost support for the 2008-2009 project.
To those seniors who have submitted applications we apologize for any inconvenience caused by filling out the online application and wish you the best as you pursue other scholarship options.
On behalf of all of us involved with the project we regret having to postpone this year, but we look forward to regaining the needed funding and hopefully re-launching in 2009 or 2010.
We've extended the application deadline from November 1st to Wednesday, December 17th. You'll see our ads and promotional efforts change to reflect this new date as well.
Forward an email or link to this site to anyone you know who might be a possibility.
Also, we now have the donate online function available. While we do have corporate sponsors we still have many ongoing and increasing costs. Your tax-deductible investment can be transacted securely http://www.expioleadership.com/donationshere if you or your organization are able. For major sponsorships ($5-20K annually) please email andy(at)expioleadership.com to discuss the marketing benefits and details.
